Tom of Finland

Touko Laaksonen returns home after a epic and harrowing experience but lifetime in Finland during peacetime proves equally painful. He discovers peace-time Helsinki uncontrolled with persecution of men and those gay round him being pressured to marry women and have children. Touko finds refuge within his art, specialising in drawings of muscular men of inhibitions. His work -- made famous by his trademark'Tom of Finland' -- became the logo of a generation of men and fanned the fires of a revolution that was homosexual.
