Zoot Suit
Zoot Suit is the film adaptation of Luis Valdez's critically acclaimed play, which is based on the true Sleepy Lagoon murder case and the 1940s Los Angeles zoot suit riots. Henry Reyna is the head of a group of Mexican-Americans who have been condemned to San Quentin without solid evidence for the death of a guy at Sleepy Lagoon. Alice Bloomfield and George Shearer, members of the defense committee, fight for Henry and his companions' freedom against a blatant miscarriage of justice.
