6teen
6teen is a Canadian animated sitcom that first aired on Teletoon in 2004. Sixteen debuted on Nickelodeon in the United States on December 18, 2005, and was taken from the schedule on May 13, 2006. Sixteen formerly ran in reruns on The N from December 26, 2005 to July 28, 2006, then returned to The N as a 24-hour channel on December 31, 2007 till June 21, 2008. 6teen premiered on Cartoon Network in the United States on October 23, 2008. 6teen had weekly airings on Cartoon Network since its debut on October 23, 2008, but was withdrawn from the schedule in mid-November 2009. The show then resurfaced with frequent airings in mid-February 2010, but was deleted again following the series finale on June 21, 2010. 6teen returned to Cartoon Network for one month only in January 2011, but was removed along with other cancelled shows owing to a scheduling revision. Popgirl occasionally airs it. Brian Melo's acoustic rendition of the theme tune appeared in the series finale, "Bye Bye Nikki? Part 2." Sixteen had 93 episodes in all. Both Canada and the United States have released DVD and iTunes releases. Though the show was cancelled, creators Pertsch and McGillis expressed interest in a future two-hour reunion telemovie or feature film. It is not currently on Cartoon Network's schedule, however episodes are available in some places via Cartoon Network on Demand. 6teen returned to Teletoon with reruns on January 3, 2011, airing weekends at 3:00 a.m. EST, and has just returned to its former weekday schedule at 7:00 p.m. EST. The show is also available to stream on Netflix in the United States and the United Kingdom.
