A Woman Called Moses
The television miniseries A Woman Called Moses is based on the biography of Harriet Tubman, the runaway African American slave who helped organize the Underground Railroad and escorted scores of African Americans from slavery in the South to freedom in the North and Canada. The production, narrated by Orson Welles, aired on the NBC television network on December 11 and 12, 1978. Emmy Award winner and Academy Award nominee Cicely Tyson portrayed Tubman.
