BattleBots
BattleBots is an American organization that hosts robot competitions. BattleBots is the name of this television show. BattleBots Inc. is headquartered in Vallejo, California and holds most of its competitions in the San Francisco area.
At a BattleBots event the competitors are armored machines and remote-controlled armed, designed to fight in an arena combat elimination tournament. If both battle bots continue to be functional at the finish of the match the winner is based on a point system based on damage, aggression, and plan.
The television show BattleBots aired for five seasons, covering five BattleBots matches. The first season started starting in August 2000, and the fifth season aired starting in August 2002. Hosts of BattleBots have been Bil Dwyer and Sean Salisbury and correspondents included Baywatch actresses Donna D'Errico, Carmen Electra, along with Traci Bingham, former Playboy Playmate Heidi Mark, as well as twins Randy and Jason Sklar. Bill Nye had been the series's"technical expert".
After five'seasons', Comedy Central declared their contract using BattleBots Inc. in late 2002.
