Shimura Teppei (Fujigaya Taisuke) was raised watching his policeman father who would ride sidebyside marathons because he had been a motorcycle cop, and dreamt to be a marathon runner for a child. However, Teppei's daddy lost his job disappeared. By turning into a well known drunk in the region teppei destroyed himself. Under the effect of his childhood friend, Yuichi, Teppei decided to become a policeman after graduating from senior high school. He passed the recruitment exam and entered the police academy.
