Brass Eye
Brass Eye is really a UK television collection of news magazines. A series of six episodes aired on Channel 4 in 1997, and also a further episode in 2001.
The collection Was Made by Chris Morris, also composed by Jane Bussmann, David Quantick, Peter Baynham, Morris, Arthur Mathews and Graham Linehan. Michael Cumming directed the series. It was a sequel to Morris's earlier in the day teaser news programmes About The Hour and The Day Today. It satirised networking portrayal of societal ills, in production and sensationalism of moral panics. The series starred Morris's The Day Today colleague Doon MacKichan and Gina McKee, Mark Heap, Simon Pegg, Julia Davis and Kevin Eldon.
