Da Ali G Show

Da Ali G Show is the name of two similar satirical TV shows produced and starring English comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, both of which feature the character Ali G. The first series debuted on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom, and the second on HBO in the United States. The second season was known as Ali G in the United States and Iiii in the United Kingdom and Australia. In the series, Baron Cohen portrays three unconventional journalists: the main character Ali G, a Kazakh named Borat Sagdiyev, and a gay Austrian named Brüno Gehard. The trio conducts interviews with unsuspecting persons, during which they ask silly and stupid questions. On July23,2005, HBO confirmed that there would be no more seasons of the show. Baron Cohen has gone on to develop three films based on his three characters from the show: Ali G Indahouse, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for the Benefit of the Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, and Brüno.
