Earth: Final Conflict
One of the most popular science fiction shows in Canada, Earth: Final Conflict was developed by Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, the late Gene Roddenberry's widow, and is based on his story concepts. In fact, it wasn't released until after his death. Between October 6, 1997 and May 20, 2002, it aired five seasons. Originally titled Battleground: Earth, the show was renamed after L. Ron Hubbard's novel Battlefield Earth due to confusion over the titles. Majel Barrett-Roddenberry served as the show's executive producer. As Dr. Julianne Belman, she appeared in a few early episodes. Upon Roddenberry's death, Barrett had access to all of the story and series concepts he had stored in his notebooks.
