
Empty Nest
Empty Nest is an American sitcom that aired on NBC from 1988 to 1995. The show was made as a spin-off of The Golden Girls by creator and producer Susan Harris. For the first few seasons, Empty Nest was among this year's top 10 programs. It was created by Witt/Thomas/Harris Productions in association with Touchstone Television.
The series concept introduced some parts from the British comedy show Father, Dear Father, additionally featuring a father coping with his two daughters and dog. However, unlike this series, both daughters in Empty Nest are adults that are self-supporting, and also the lead character is a widower.
Empty Nest was a portion of NBC's Saturday night block also during its first four seasons it aired at 9:30pm ET following a Golden Girls.
The two of those cast were alumni of Susan Harris' prior shows. Mulligan was the father-in-law at Soap of Manoff.
