Faerie Tale Theatre

Faerie Tale Theatre is a live-action children's TV anthology show that retells popular fairy tales. Shelley Duvall is the show's narrator, host, and executive producer. She also occasionally stars in episodes. The next show was a shorter one called Tall Tales & Legends. It was like Faerie Tale Theatre in that it told classic American folk tales in the same way. Both shows have well-known actors and directors, and they were both based on the children's TV show Shirley Temple's Storybook. Faerie Tale Theatre first shown on Showtime from 1982 through 1987. Later, it was shown as edited reruns on the Disney Channel and in syndication on PBS and BookTelevision, among others.
