Fame

Fame is an American television show originally produced between 1987 and 1982. The show is in line with the 1980 motion picture of the exact name. With a mixture of songs and play, it followed closely the lifestyles of the pupils and school at the New York High School for the Performing Arts. Although fictional, it was based greatly upon the True Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in the Big Apple. Most interior scenes were filmed in Hollywood, California. The show filmed exterior scenes in nyc on location. The popularity of this series, especially in the united kingdom, directed to several hit recordings and live concert tours. Despite its success, high-profile careers were claimed by hardly any of these actors after the show was cancelled. A number of these cast members were seen in Bring Back. . .Fame, a reunion special made for UK television in 2008.
