Freakazoid!
Freakazoid! is an American animated television series developed by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini for The WB's Kids' WB programming block. A wild, unhinged superhero named Freakazoid confronts a slew of super villains in this comic book series. Mini-episodes of other superheroes' stories also appear on the show. The show was created by Amblin Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Steven Spielberg and Warner Bros. Animation collaborated on three animated programs, all of which were produced during the resurgence of the industry. With Tiny Toon Adventures and Animaniacs showing on the Hub Network, there are rumors of Freakazoid! coming to the network. Timm, widely renowned for his work on the DC animated universe, originally planned it to be an action-adventure animation with comic overtones but executive producer Steven Spielberg asked series producer and writer Tom Ruegger to turn Freakazoid! into an entirely comedic series. Like other Ruegger-led shows like Animaniacs, this one features slapstick, fourth wall firings, parody, surreal humor, and pop cultural references.
