George

George was a tv series that aired on CTV on Thursday evenings. The series had been based on the 1971 film George! , about the adventures of a St. Bernard dog and his owner who are living in Switzerland. Marshall Thompson starred in the film and also the subsequent series. The series made its CTV debut on 16 September 1972. George stopped following its just season in 1973. The Globe and Mail's Blaik Kirby considered the app to become"abysmal". Despite mixed reaction and its short run, the series had been re run on CTV affiliates for a long time afterwards , usually to fulfill Saturday morning programs.
