The story of Aino, who is originally from Finnish Lapland, and Micke, a Swedish-speaking left-wing couple in their thirties who live in an urban environment and are bilingual and ecologically sensitive. They are compelled to relocate to an upper-class area, where they will live in an apartment owned by Micke's rich parents, who also happen to live across the street. The arrival of Aino's yokel brother in their guest room brings people from various walks of life under one roof, bringing them closer together.
