Kaboul Kitchen
Kitchen has been really a French comedy television series broadcast by Canal+. Marc Victor, Allan Mauduit and Jean-Patrick Benes created it. The series is based on the real story of Radio France Internationale journalist Marc Victor, who conducted a restaurant until 2008 for French expatriates in Kabul. The series stopped on March 5, 2012 and demonstrated on February 15, 2012. This set a ratings record from the prime time slot on Canal + for humor series. Another series, that'll have 12 episodes, has been commissioned.
The series defines the life span of French expatriate Jacky who conducts on the most restaurant Kaboul Kitchen in Kabul, Afghanistan. His daughter Sophie, who he's not seen in twenty years, arrives to do work, while he is interested in earning money.
The collection won two Golden FIPA Awards at the 2012 Festival International de Programmes Audiovisuels: one for Best Television Series and one for Best Television Screenplay. It was screened at MIPTV and termed fourth to The Hollywood Reporter's list of"MIPTV A-List Projects" for the most promising series screened at that occasion.
