Kick
Kick is an Australian television set which was broadcast June 2007 on SBS TV. It's set in Brunswick. The show follows the experiences of wild twentysomething Miki Mavros who's forced to go in with her Greek-Australian parents Hope Street following a failed attempt to"make it big". Miki begins work as a secretary for suave Anglo-Indian Dr. Joe Mangeshkar, with a girlfriend called Jan, and things spiral out of control. A neighbourhood team, hence the series title Kick is managed by miki.
The series also follows the experiences of Miki's acquaintances on Hope Street, including the Salim family, also a Lebanese-Australian Muslim family having siblings Amen, Osama"Ozzie", Taghred along with Layla. Amen can be an aspiring businessman with questionable ethics. Osama also has a beat the friend Tatiana of Taghred and is moving right through teenage angst. Taghred is an aspiring soccer star. Layla is a university student arranged to be wed to Sharif, when Layla drops for fencer Jackie but what changes.
