Lassie
Lassie is a American television series that follows the adventures of a female Rough Collie dog called Lassie and her partners, creature and human. The series was that the production of producer Robert Maxwell and creature trainer Rudd Weatherwax and has been televised from September 1-2, 1954. One of those series on tv, the series chalked up 1 seasons on CBS before inputting syndication. Filmed in white and black, the series transitioned to color in 1965.
The series's first ten seasons follow Lassie's adventures in a small farming area. Jeff Miller , his mother, and his grandfather are the very first partners of Lassie until his adoptive parents and seven-year-old Timmy Martin simply take over from the fourth year old. When Lassie's exploits on the farm end at the season, she uncovers new adventures. After travel without human leads to get per calendar year, Lassie finally settles at a children's home for her two seasons that are thirds.
Lassie won 2 Emmy awards and received celebrity at its debut. Stars Jan Clayton and June Lockhart were nominated for Emmys. Produced throughout the show's run included books, a Halloween costume, clothing, toys, along with other products. The lifelong host of the show, campbell's Soup, distributed thousands to fans, also offered two premiums. There has been A episode edited in to the feature film Lassie's Great Adventure and released from August 1963. Back in 1989, the tv series The New Lassie attracted Lassie star Jon Provost straight back to tv. Episodes that were selected have been released to DVD.
