Life of Crime
Life of Crime revolves round a police officer called Denise Woods. Set throughout a span of three years (starting with all the Brixton Riots of 1985), the drama follows Denise because she climbs through the ranks of the Metropolitan Police Service. She initially struggles within an extremely male-orientated profession where sexism is female and imprisoned officers must fight to be accepted. But September morning, as one breaks, Denise accompanies DS Ray Deans to a crime scene to discover the bruised, battered and strangled body of teenager Anna. With a previous encounter Denise is decided to attract Anna's killer to justice. Denise works from the instruction and advice of her older officers also follows her own lines of enquiry whilst the circumstances of Anna's murder aren't what they first appear. Since the enquiry progresses Denise's fervor for that case leads her to fall foul of her older officer, DCI Ferguson.
