Love & War is an American television sitcom, which aired in September 2 1, 1992.
The show starred Susan Dey as also a Chicago restaurateur, Wally Porter, and Jay Thomas as Jack Stein, a sportswriter by.
After the primary season, but the series was retooled and Dey was fired by the manufacturers of the series, asserting that she and Thomas had"no chemistry" together. She had been substituted by Annie Potts as Dana Palladino, who bought Porter's restaurant and also became a love interest for Jack.
The season featured minutes when Wally or Jack will break the fourth wall and then handle the camera directly , generally using it as an chance. This mechanic has been dropped in later seasons.

The supporting cast of the show comprised Michael Nouri, Joanna Gleason, Joel Murray, Charles Robinson and Suzie Plakson. John Hancock, who had a recurring role as a judge on L.A. Law using Susan Dey previously, depicted bartender Ike for the first half of season , before he died of a heart attack from late 1992. His death had been subsequently written to the string and celebrity Charlie Robinson substituted him.
