Michael Palin: Into Iraq
Iraq is one of the most hazardous and difficult countries in the world, and Michael Palin sets out on an epic, revelatory journey through it. Michael wants to learn more about the 40 million people who live in Iraq by traveling the approximately 1,000 miles of the Tigris River from its source in eastern Turkey to the Persian Gulf. He hasn't gone to many places in the world, but this is one of them, and he's been fascinated by it ever since he was young. Iraq is frequently referred to as the "cradle of civilization," and Michael wants to learn more about both the country's turbulent past and present.
