Payne

Payne is an American tv show, patterned after the British app Fawlty Towers. It starred American actor John Larroquette, that depicted assistant district attorney Dan Fielding about the television app Night Court. Larroquette was an executive producer for the series. Payne was aired in April 1999 and March and a Mid Season replacement on CBS. The series also starred Rick Batalla, Julie Benz and JoBeth Williams. Despite positive reception, and receiving the approval of John Cleese, who consented to take a role that was recurring if the series was renewed, Payne was cancelled. Nine episodes were filmed. Eight were aired. The series is not available on DVD.
