Psi Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal
Psi Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal is a science fiction drama television series that was produced in Canada and shown on Canadian television from 1996 to2000. The show's 88 episodes were spread out across its four seasons and were shot in and around Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Even though it was just a made-up drama, some viewers were fooled into thinking that the show was meant to be taken seriously due to the fact that Dan Aykroyd appeared in each episode's opening and closing sequences and emphasized the veracity of the organization that served as the play's model. In 1997, Aykroyd was given a "Snuffed Candle" award by the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry, which at the time was known as the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal. The award was given to Aykroyd for "contributing to the public's lack of understanding of the methods of scientific inquiry." Part of this reason can be attributed to the fact that the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry was formerly known as the Committee for the Scientific Investigation
