Sungkyunkwan Scandal
The South Korean fusion historical drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal was released in 2010 and tells the story of a young woman who disguises herself as a boy in order to attend Sungkyunkwan, the Joseon Dynasty's most prestigious educational institute, during a time when women were not permitted to study there. Starring Park Min-young, Park Yuchun, Yoo Ah-in, and Song Joong-ki, it was directed by Kim Won-seok and written by Kim Tae-hee, and it was based on Jung Eun-best-selling gwol's novel The Lives of Sungkyunkwan Confucian Scholars, which was published in 2007. Twenty episodes of it were broadcast on KBS2 beginning on Monday, August30, and ending on Tuesday, November2,2010, at 21:55 local time.
