Survivorman
Survivorman is a television program, broadcast on the Outdoor Life Network in Canada, and internationally on Science Channel and Discovery Channel. The series introduced 4 specials and three seasons -- including 2004, 2007, 2008, and 2012.
The title refers to the host of the series, Canadian film maker and survival expert Les Stroud, who used survival skills and wisdom to endure as many as ten days independently videotaping his experiences in remote locales at which he delivered with him little or no water, food, or equipment. According to the website of the show, each location pre-planned and was scouted broadly by Stroud and his team who consulted with natives and survival pros of each location. The simple fact that Stroud spent his time without a production team is a major focus of the series.
