Team Knight Rider
Team Knight Rider is a syndicated television series based on the Knight Rider franchise that aired between 1997 and 1998. TKR was written and produced by Rick Copp and David A. Goodman, and was based on the original series created by Glen A. Larson, who also served as an executive producer. TKR was created by Gil Wadsworth and Scott McAboy for Universal Domestic Television and aired for only one season of 22 one-hour episodes before being canceled owing to low ratings. The plot revolves around a new band of high-tech criminal fighters put together by the Foundation for Law and Government who follow in the footsteps of the legendary Michael Knight and his supercar KITT. Instead of "one man making a difference," there are now five team members, each with a digital talking vehicle equivalent. TKR, like the original partnership, hunts legendary criminals who operate "beyond the law," from spies and assassins to terrorists and drug dealers. Michael Knight reappeared in the final episode of the season and series, although only from behind.
