It aired before May 17, 2003, lasting 2 seasons. It featured filming contrary to the CIA headquarters.
The series was contentious regarding its own treatment of these ethical conflicts inherent in brains function and its own exploration of foreign affairs. Beckner's pilot script, written in March 2001, posited a re invented CIA tasked with a"War on Terror" after Osama Bin Laden's Al Qaeda terrorist association plots a lethal attack to the west. The pilot was to premiere at CIA Headquarters on September 18, 2001 and set to broadcast on CBS September 21, 2001, but the specific 9/11 attacks convinced the system to put on the pilot instead air a later episode. That very first episode was aired as the season's next installment.
The September 11, 2001 terrorist events changed the way Americans viewed topical entertainment and"The Agency", during the moment, was one of the most topical offering on public television. CBS decided to cancel the series right after the final installment of the next season, although the manufacturers of the series responded for this brand new American outlook on world affairs.
