The Mistress

The Mistress is a British sitcom which aired on BBC2 in 1985 to 1987. Starring Jane Asher along with Felicity Kendal, Carla Lane wrote it. The Mistress features Kendal playing Maxine, a florist who is having a affair with a married man, whose wife was played with Jane Asher. It was cheered by several viewers, who were unhappy at seeing Felicity Kendal, that was most widely called the Barbara Good, playing a woman sleeping with somebody else's husband.
