The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show
It first debuted on the ABC and NBC television networks in the United States on November 19, 1959, and ran until June 27, 1964. The Rocky & Bullwinkle Show is an animated television program from the United States. The series is a variety show, with the major feature being the serialized adventures of the two title characters, the anthropomorphic moose Bullwinkle and the flying squirrel Rocky. Jay Ward Productions is the company that produces the show, and the show's format is a variety show. The Russian-sounding spies Boris Badenov and Natasha Fatale are the primary foes they face in the majority of their travels. The supporting portions include, among other things, Dudley Do-Right, Peabody's Improbable History, and Fractured Fairy Tales. The writing in Rocky & Bullwinkle is well-regarded, and the show is famous for its dry sense of humor. It amused both adults and children thanks to its clever combination of puns, satire of popular culture and current events, and self-referential comedy. It was also one of the first cartoons to have its animation completed by a third party; the storyboards were sent to Gamma Productions, a Mexican studio that was also contracted by Total Television. As a consequence, the artwork has a jagged, rough appearance, and the animation is exceedingly limited even by the standards of television animation. Those who have seen the series for a long time have held it in high regard; some commentators have described the series as a well-written radio program with images.
