The Vice
The Vice is a ITV police drama on the Metropolitan Police Vice Unit. It ran for five short series between 2003 and 1999. It tells the story of the vice group of the London Metropolitan police force, where underage sex, prostitution, as well as different such offense are routine occurrences. Most episodes result in a way where the major protagonist is captured but often not in a'naturally' concluded way which you'll expect with other television dramas, and frequently ending a episode with more questions unanswered than answered.
The dedicated team is led by Detective Inspector Pat Chappel who fights to handle the balance between his job life and his dwelling - as well as the different members of the group. Working in the seedy underworld contributes to a continual dilemma for its team - that the stress involving the Vice Squad and the vice-related crimes that they investigate conducts across the series and gives the show a rich viewing experience. The programme blurs the line of this team as nearly every participant of the group at points submits temporarily or permanently into the temptations of sex, drugs, honey or money cubes. Sometimes with consequences.
