Twenty Twelve
John Morton wrote and directed the BBC television comedy series Twenty Twelve. The mock on-location documentary, starring Hugh Bonneville, Jessica Hynes, and Amelia Bullmore, follows the organization of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. In March 2011, it was originally broadcast on BBC Four in the United Kingdom to coincide with the 500-day countdown to the opening ceremony. Twenty Twelve received mostly excellent reviews from critics, and on April 15, 2011, a four-part second series was confirmed, which premiered on BBC Two on March 30, 2012. From July 10, 2012, three more episodes of Series 2 began broadcasting. The series' final episode aired on July 24, 2012, three days before the London Olympic Games' opening ceremony.
